What is Form Bookmark?
This is a service (in beta currently) that lets you bookmark the submission of a web form.It allows you to fill in a form once and keep accessing the feedback with just one click.
How is that of any use to me?
This is useful for status checks such as package tracking, order processing, stocks, and other statistics, without having to keep your input in your clipboard for every time you want to resubmit the form.It also allows you to share any feedback of a form based interactive page with your friends and coworkers by simply linking to it, so they don't have to fill anything in.
How does it work?
It reads out the form from the specified webpage and lets you fill it in. Form Bookmark then saves the data in a link, that it generates for you. When you click the link, Form Bookmark reconstructs the form and immediately submits it. Click, boom.It doesn't work for me, what gives?
Form Bookmark can only read forms that are immediately present on the URL you specified. If it's a form divided over several pages, or a script-generated form, it will break Form Bookmark. Sorry.If something else seems out of order, please drop me a mail and I'll try to fix it.
Is my data secure?
No. The stuff you fill in is kept in the URL encoded, but unencrypted. Anyone can translate it back. It will also stay in your browser history if you leave it there. Hence, you should only use Form Bookmark for non-sensitive data. Don't use Form Bookmark for anything that involves you typing your password.This may actually be improved later, in some form of an account based service.
